Re: D Series Alternative WiFi Dongle HW
It's possible but it looks, current kernel/module doesn't allow that... Try to change it somewhere other... Look at WiKi pages for advices.
Re: D Series Alternative WiFi Dongle HW
According to wiki it is possible to compile kernel modules from source, so to compile these modules i should use gcc for ARM or something like that? My question: are x86 pc kernel modules compatible with Samsung's or SamyGO firmware?

Re: D Series Alternative WiFi Dongle HW
You just need those modules for your PC if you want to alter PID/VID... So you needed to compile on x86 (or what your PC CPU compatible).
If you don't touch PID/VID bu use modules at TV, than you needed to compile from Samsung sources and use cross gcc for ARM.

Re: D Series Alternative WiFi Dongle HW
Please look our wiki page. We don't recommend brands but "chips" inside...
For D series (At least on my D6000) both rt2870 and rt3572 chipped dongles are compatible.
You can search which dongles are using this chips. After PID/VID change, you can use those dongles as original.
Regards.

Re: D Series Alternative WiFi Dongle HW
You just need to change PID/VID values (hardware way), than your dongle needed to be act as original Samsung dongle...
Re: D Series Alternative WiFi Dongle HW
On Friday last, I bought a USB WiFi D-Link DWA-140 at auction.
I hear it's plug & play depending on your review.
After I leave here my feedback.
I hope even if it is plug & play.
Best regards,
Jorge

Re: D Series Alternative WiFi Dongle HW
It depends on "revision". As we said on wiki page...
