I have Linksys WUSB54GC and Motorola with dd-wrt, everything is working when I change wifi channel from 13 to 10 or 1. On channel 13 usb cannot find my AP.
How to make changes with modules pernament ?

The problem with 13.th channel is that frequency forbidden for WiFi devices in US but EU. 1-11 channels will work on your devices. I didn't remember 12.th channel but that could be forbidden too.
So if you have problem with 13.th channel, than switch another channel that not used near of you. Channel "number" doesn't effect connection speed if no one use that channel nearby. Scan your location with tools like airodump and find clean channel for your network.

I have a Samsung TV LE40B650 and USB WiFi dongle Edimax EW-7718Un (RT2870 chipset, Vendor = 7392, ProdID = 7718). Is it possible you upgraded rt2870sta.ko file for this device ? I tried to do something myself, but ..... without results.

Loading the module rta2870sta.ko (from a usb device) works fine for my dlink dwa-140 dongle but after TV reboot, all changes are lost. How to install the new rta2870sta.ko file to the TV memory ??
