Ty, i.see

I also see the mac address is in the prom, would it be possible to change these? Or is there a crosscheck function? With a very high risk to brick it

I mean with crosscheck if the values are written in more than one location and they have to match.
Have to read the file. I m searching for hardware solution on mac for other project.
Just found the samsung source for the bd-c5500 any idea what cpu?
Will try to put in my wifi driver using internet@tv
Maybe a cat /proc/cpuinfo to a usb pen would do the trick

Hi all,
I connected to my router using compiled rt3070sta.ko kernel module.
TV recognizes it but couldn't make setup. If you could setup your dongle via shell commands, than you could use your dongle.
At least without encryption. Don't tested WPA tools yet.

Can you read the e2 0x0000 addresses of both pens?
I think you have a 307x pen and not the 287x
Changing the pid / vid makes the pen only visible and not use able.
Please also post rev nr

Just tried out a Maplins usb dongle; Belkin N150 (p/n N64HH) as it was described as a Railink RT2870...

But no luck at all. It flickers on plug in but then the tv does not see it all.

Can this be hacked from Windows? - my Ubuntu partition has decided it doesn't like grub on a GPT disk.

Thanks.

I dont think it can be done from windows as e2 is a linux command (at least what ive understoot) , however using cygwin it should be possible to use linux commands.
Alternative download backtrack5 live cd, compile driver and use this to flash, I could upload modules on monday if desired
