You can program such a program for B series too.
I think DLNA supports some commands like volume up/down or channel change..
[How-To] Remote Control Signal Over Lan?
Re: Remote Control Signal Over Lan?
Hello.
Could you describe how did you achieve this? What UPNP program were you using and what was the actual message (upnp commands are xml AFAIK) that made the vol change. And did you enable something from the TV first? For the B series (my LE37B650) the volume up/down works fine over UPNP
Re: Remote Control Signal Over Lan?
Hello. Device Spy did not discover my TV and gave some unhandled exception (I hate windows stuff). Shame that I can't run those developer tools on Linux. At least I don't have a clue how to do it.
EDIT: The 11/27/2009 installation was broken, I uninstalled it and tried the 0.0.19, seems to be working much better, but still it can't find my TV (yes it's on and on the same network, MediaTomb works ok with it)

Hi nbd,
Maybe you should try upnp inspector. Works well on my box (fc11).
