46ES8000 back from the dead - need help with downgrade

Post by vortex77 »

Hello everyone,

I bought a dead UE46ES8000 yesterday and fixed it (two dead mosfets and a broken AC input) but I am having problems connecting to wifi. Wired works.
Wifi scan shows available networks but can't get an IP and even if I manually enter IP/gateway/etc (Even dns 8.8.8.8) it doesn't work.
The firmware on the TV now is 002022.

I read here it is possible for wifi to work if I downgrade to fw0000 but I can't find information how to do it and where is fw0000 ? Sorry if I missed it, my eyes bleed from too much reading today... Many thanks!!

Go into your service menu and make sure the network is set to wifi_int and also make sure you have the correctly specified chip, like broadcom dual, mtk, Qualcomm single, etc. I just fixed my ks8000 after about 4 days of frustration it was as simple as a reset and fixing those 2 things
