Timeshift / PVR to USB

Hi,
I'd like to record Movies and to so timeshift if necessary to my USB-Stick. It is plugged in into the PVR-port. The TV gives the Message, that recording was Not successfull. What am I doing wrong? Is there another way to use timeshift and programmed recording?
