As everybody knows, Skype on TVs will die soon, so here's widget to directly replace Skype root to Skype-free root!
Widget only enforces another autostart way, everything else (e.g. custom stuff inside /mnt) remains untouched.

Applies ONLY to users CURRENTLY using Skype root on E/F !!!
That's why it's called "transition" - No point in asking about H.

• Uninstall Skype
• Reboot TV
• Launch RestoreSmG widget from Smarthub

• Reboot TV
• Done! Root there, Skype away.

• DO NOT REINSTALL SKYPE!! Otherwise script will replace its lib and root will start twice after reboot!!!
  (might cause strange things in best case, bootloop in worst...)

• If one day you loose root, just relaunch widget.

Full root method using same trick will come later, probably around June 2nd

Am I right to say that this method is as fast and as stable as the skype-root? And this without using usb-stick?

Ok, thank you, very nice work to you and mihd! I tried it with my f6270, only thing that doesn't work (for me) is FTP connection via WIFI. ChanInfo, Oscam and co. works, but no ftp-connection. When I switch to LAN (DLAN in my case) I have FTP-connection. But I could live with that without a problem. Just for you to know.

And "fast and as stable as the skype-root" as well!
Highly recommeded for those who are on Skype root and older FW.

Probably wifi takes too long to init, and some sleep would be needed somewhere, but I see no reason for it to happen more than with Skype root.

I used only WIFI with skype-root on this TV and it worked always. Now it doesn't work.

Next TV (F6500) I will try the root transition with LAN and see if there's a difference and if FTP works then via wlan. But why there should be a difference...

Keep in mind:

-run.sh is untouched
-FTP daemon is untouched
-init scripts are untouched
-etc...

ONLY autostart is changed, that's why the only possible reason for your missing FTP is your Wifi not yet up, possibly because current autostart is slightly faster than Skype one (a matter of second...)

It works on my second TV with same firmware with wifi, so the issue is on my side. App works!
