Hi Lordbyte,
thanks for your answer. I have changed my membership to "Donor" and I will see what happens next. I send Bugficks some DMs but I didn't get an answer
Hope it works and I can see this thread. I hope I will get some answer there.... I am really stuck.
Karolin

FEATURE (AND BUG?)
-----------------------------
Hi,
i have some problems with decoding and saved movie files.
Decoding fails sometimes without an for me understood reason.
When i start a mass decoding its always that about 1 of 5-10 decoding failed.
Now here i have a problem: I need to check all my files decoded correctly to find the one's which not decoded correctly... i didnt test it completly: But i think it also deletes the file if checked "delete after decode" if it didnt decode and saved correctly
So i have 2 feature wishes:
1) Feature to "synchronize" the files in my "output folder for .ts files" and the files on the TV.
Highlight already found files in output folder as "already decoded".
This could be done by two simple possibilitys:
a) check the filename by your output-name configuration
b) check metadata if you also exported the metadata files for movies.
This feature could be activated in settings or by an active button to sync once.
2) If checked "delete after decoding" please recheck for a 100% check if the just decoded file exists on "output folder for .ts files" -> if not, dont delete (i dont know if a check like this is already implemented - but i fear not?)
Thanks!

Re: [PC] SamyGO PVRDecoder for E/F series - Version 1.5.3.4
We already thought of this but it's not possible to sync to output filenames. For example if you use a simple filemask such as "<title>.ts" and you have multiple instances of this title, output will be title..title(1)..title(2)... How will you differentiate them, especially if you emptied output folder, output will start at (1) again. Same filename can correspond to different recordings and conversely. More, nobody is supposed to use 'fixed' filemask...Anarchy wrote:a) check the filename by your output-name configuration
Who uses metadata?b) check metadata if you also exported the metadata files for movies.
-If a file/name already exists, app will ask to overwrite or not2) If checked "delete after decoding" please recheck for a 100% check if the just decoded file exists on "output folder for .ts files" -> if not, dont delete (i dont know if a check like this is already implemented - but i fear not?)
-If decoding fails, incomplete destination file is removed, source file is NOT, even if "delete after decode" is checked
-you can try without fear
I do NOT receive any PM. Please use forum.

I am also interested in why the decoding fails ..
Does it fail during the retrieval of the .srt file, or does it fail during the actual decryption ?
Is there a pattern .. Can you make it fail again and again at the same spot .. Can you replicate problem using same files twice (or more) ?
Are you using WiFi or LAN-cable ?
Does any error show .. Anything in log ?
Can you tell me anything that would allow me to replicate bug .. so I can fix it ?

had some mistakes in setup. Reset the whole TV and did everything from the start. All works now.

@Karo2204,
Please update your tutorial, and please be very specific in your description of your solution.
You are now in a position to save a lot of time and research for other members, both existing ones,
and ones that are yet to join the ranks af Samsung F-series owners.
Notice that "good looking" is NOT a parameter when it comes to system-files .. I do believe I would leave the .dis files alone,
as they are used to explicitly disable certain features .. If you remove (move) them, you may experience problems not forseen.
At the very least I would have juuso comment on your plans before actually carrying it out. Better safe than sorry
Again, congratulations on your quite huge progress !
And please please do remember to document your entire understanding af this issue as it is now, and publish it in the relevant thread.
I would personally enjoy following a (your) COMPLETE tutorial for recording directly to my Synology NAS
Thanks in advance.

OK I installed my TV completely new today and everything is working now. Even the NFS mount automatically mounts now on boot.
But another thing. How can the files recorded on NFS have the same name like the files on HDD?
Also I read something in the config file about ts2mkv. How does this work?
