uninstall root

can root be safely and completely uninstalled?
My old stick became defective and now with a new sticks and the files put in place my tv reboots like every 3 minutes.
I would like to remove root and re-install it.
i have tried reseting smart hub and reinstall from samygo widget but it's still restarting every 3 minutes.
Is this possible?
