Sorry to open a thread for my question; I have been reading everything I could found both on the forums and the wiki for my model series/firmware but I'd like to rely on more trusted sources than my assumptions.

My goal is ultimately being able to extract decryptable/readable recordings from a UE40F8000 with current firmware at v1118, I can't add anything technical as I haven't entered the Service Menu yet.

Reading through the comments on related threads I have understood that new rooting methods have been developed for the latest firmwares, but as such they are reserved to donors; now before actually donating I'd like to know whether my very model and firmware would be supported by these reserved rooting methods.
