Well you need to distinguish "no root" from "no CHANCE for root" :)

Quintrix - did you ever find the solution to this? I have a similar problem (not able to switch off OTN on a T-FXPDEUC model via the menu) and blocking the updates via my router isn't an option for me.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

There is no fix possible, behind .../greyed, value is hardcoded to ON. Also do not mix up cases where OTN is greyed (fw dependent), and "not there" (only dependent of extended service menu access, not fw at all).
I do NOT receive any PM. Please use forum.

First, root your TV with newer methode:
viewtopic.php?f=63&t=7982

Make a FW downgrade, must be a donor user.

I use FW1115 now.

Switch off OTN in service menu.

Root your TV with old (very stable) root.

Thanks for the reply. But as I understand it, it is vital to ensure that OTN is disabled prior to rooting / oscam. How am I able to switch it off if it is hardcored to ON?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Told you it's firmware dependent, from 1128 (?) or so it's greyed and hardcoded, any earlier version is ok.

Sorry, I didn't pick up it you had said that it was firmware dependent. Anyway my F7000 was on v. 1118 (T-FXPDEUC-1118.0), I've now 'downgraded' it to T-FXPDEUC-0000.0 but the OTN disable is still not showing up. Any suggestions?

Not as if I didn't already tell it twice: you have to access "extended" service menu, otherwise it's hidden (not greyed!) :)
Also it's useless to set it on fw 0000 since upgrade will restore it to ON...

Thanks for the reply :-)

How do I access the "extended" service menu?
(I have tried to follow the link in the wiki but that seems to be down and asked about the "Factory+3Speed Keys" on another thread but, as yet, there hasn't been a reply)
