Hi, I have TV UE46F6320, rooted and I using oscam to decode satellite signals (using the built-in satellite tuner). Now struck me Ambilight from Philips, so looking option for samsung how to send video directly from the TV without Set Top Box or any external device/XBMC to LAN/USB/CI. I could not find a way to make video output from the TV. Now I found a way, "boblight". Can someone please compile SamyGO patch + oscam + boblight server?
Or have someone better ideas?

I am also interested on this. I have the kit but so far is useless because I can't take out video signal from my F8000

Hi, assuming that you already know how to control the LED stripe, you can take the Video signal from the SCART output from your TV (of course only if your TVs have SCART), hook it to a very simple TV grabber to get the TV signal from the Samy.
However, this works only with the TV signal, not with external hdmi signals, nor with movies you are playing from usb or network. Consequently, this means it also does not work when using timeshift. Zoelchat has an experimental lib which enables scart out also for movie playback from usb&network, but it is confirmed to work only on E series and confirmed to not work on H series. I don t know about F series, though.

And what about samygo framebuffer. Is there some way how to send data via usb/lan/hdmi (i prefer) ? If it can go out via scart, then way exists. :) Tomorow i'll test Zoelechat's app.

Great! I couldn?t find a solution to control my LED stripe from raspberry so I have to use both: raspberry to process video image and calculate LED signals and arduino to actually control the LED stripe (TM1829 based). But it works... 8-)

I have another idea. Boblight server to raspberry PI. LED strip is directly connected to the GPIO.
Boblight server processes data from USB, so I buy a SCART to USB convertor specifically for the Raspberry PI, about $ 5. Total price including LED strip should not be more than $ 30 (3 metres for 46")

Another idea: put a cheap webcam in front of TV and send its signal through cinch/scart to ambilight :)

Yes, I've already thought about it but this is just what I don't want.

Hey huli,
is ambilight working with the Scart lib at your f-series. Where can ich get this? Do you have a link?
It would be great if you explain the single steps.
Many thanks in advance.
