Telnet not working, FTP yes

Hi,
I've my F6500 rooted and it works. Today, I tried to connect with telnet but I always get:
Instead, if I try with FTP, it works but in this way I cannot make any particular changes on the files.
Using ssh, I always get wrong password
How can I fix the telnet issue? Any suggestions?
