Livestream / Smart view

Post by goleo87 »

hit there,

since the F-series has support for the official SmartView App for some Samsung Devices maybe there is a way to grab the livestream to every device? Some details about how it works is shown in this thread:

http://www.android-hilfe.de/samsung-all ... ost4994128

Is there any way how to enable the livestream for other devices/players too?

Might work if the correct xml instructions can be found.
The Smartview works great on S4 and tab 10.1.
When these are rooted you can record the screen.
Getting the stream to any device would be nice!

Also this reminds me of some that wrote that it's impossible to record a hdmi input on the tv.
But then how comes I can see the setopbox and ps3 via smartview on my mobile devices?

I played a bit with upnp inspector.
In order to activate the cloneview you need to know a valid drmtype, or it will not start.
I was able to start it via my S4.
As of that the url http://IP_TV:9090/liveStream/1 is working
But it's asking to download a bin file.
So now to find out the drmtype to use if you don't have a samsung device, and finding out what's streaming...

Modded version of Samsung Smart View 3.2.0 from XDA works on most non-Samsung Android devices, but I can't tell you if mirroring is effective since my TV doesn't support it:

Got the orig app running on my devices.
This app is still not working on a android vm :(
As for the stream, I got following for the moment:
I still need to activate streaming via the android app or windows app (window app is blocking hdmi, android app isn't)
as of that I got this via ffmpeg:

Code: Select all

thanks for this - other idea, maybe it would be more easier to change it on TV itself instead the apps. By the way, I also tried the Windows Smart View App they offer - it's not the best, all encrypted channels weren't shown *rolleyes*

Hello.
Anyone know if there is a modified version of the application "samsung smart view" under win7 / 8 (home basic, home premium, etc).
Aplication "Samsung Smart View" - http://www.samsung.com/global/smartview/english/
work only on the pro versions of windows7/8.
If not, if at "http://IP_TV:9090/liveStream/1" there is a stream A/V, then there would the possibility of using, for example, the application "VLC" to play the stream.
Or any other solution by which you can be to play the stream from the TV on your PC ?
