When you have a Samsung tv hooked up to an HDMI-CEC enabled AVR and use the tv remote to change the volume, the tv displays an annoying volume overlay (the one with the line of dots).
Is there a way to disable this overlay? Seems to be pointless because the AVR has its own overlay and even the Samsung tv displays the right volume level in yet another overlay once the dotted line thing has disappeared.
Anynet/HDMI-CEC: Disable volume overlay?
Re: Anynet/HDMI-CEC: Disable volume overlay?
Maybe there is a setting in the service menus that allows the CEC overlays to be disabled?
