Some Questions about Firmware / Mainboard

Hi Guys,
first of - english is not my native language ...
I hope we understand each other anyway
My dad owns a "UE55HU7590" with T-NT14UDEUC over 1060...
Now i had some Questions :
- is the Firmware stored in the "TCON Mainboard" or else where ?
- Can i use a Board from a 65" / 60" / or 48" TV ? and changed the Size in the Service Menu ?
I only want to change the Board to come to < 1050 for SamyGo
