samsung smart remote.

Post by mikki1211 »

Hello,
admin: just move this post where it belongs if you know what series this tv is.

i`m a total newbie and know nothing about tv hacking and such.

but my simple little question is.
my TV is the model nr: UE65HU7505TXXE
what series is it?
and yes i have read the samygo for dummies and understand even less...

my simple little question is:
i got a RMCTPH1AP1 that is very nice and control both my tv, and sound system.
but somehow it can?t control my "tv channel reciever box"
(samsung need to do some software update...)

does the smart controll use IR?
wireless?
how does it work?
whats the easiest thing i can do to make it work?
i know abit about arduino and IR but can?t capture the ir signals from the buttons...

Image
no, i will not get a universal remote!

Have you enable HDMI-anynet+ or HDMI-CEC in setting in your tv channel reciever box? I've got the same smart control and I'm able to control my reciever and adroid tv box with only one control.
This control use a bluetooth connection with TV.
You can use also IR reciever which comes with your tv. The small circle things with jack conector You plug in back panel of your tv and then you configure it.

didnt find any such settings...on my tv channel reciever box, but i found some settings on the tv itself.
i used my smart control on my old "tv reciever channel box" and also using it for my surrond system.
i am also using the ir reciever that came with my tv.
i have been in contact with samsung and my "tv channel reciever box" is currently not supported.

u sure this use a bluetooth connection?
is there a way to get any data sheet or technical information for it?
do u think its possible to grab the bluetooth signals and "do something" with them?
or is it some samsung looked secret code?

When you pres EXIT+GUIDE at same time tou will see on TV bluetooth icon pairing now or something like this.
Will be good to provide the name and model of your box. There is to many of them and maybe somebody will help you.
I think If your box support HDMI-CEC it should be work.

Use HDMI and power on :)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!

i know very well that i can plug my cable directly into the TV
but i don*t have the common interface card decrypter that i need to put me decryption card into.
i have checked with my "tv channel company" and they do not currently offer such thing.

and the whole reason for the stupid box is to decrypt the tv signals coming from my wall.
and i know it*s shit but i don*t really have a choice....
