USB used only to install (unpack archive to a USB flash drive), method WORKS WITHOUT USB.
The method is INDEPENDENT OF SKYPE.
For H SERIES!!!! do this:
- If you use other rooting method, it is necessary to remove root.
For [ROOT] H "Skype refueled" root and for [Ended][ROOT] H "Skype" root execute telnet command:For [ROOT] H "Network" root execute telnet command:Code: Select all
rm -rf /mtd_rwcommon/moip/engines/Skype rm -rf /mtd_rwcommon/emps/empSkype rm -rf /mtd_rwcommon/emps/empSkype_img rm -rf /mtd_rwcommon/widgets/normal/111399001835_img rm -rf /mtd_rwcommon/widgets/normal/111399001835
Power OFF TV, unplug USB, power ON TVCode: Select all
rm /mtd_rwarea/network/runSamyGO.sh
- Menu->System->General->Quickly Power OFF Samsung - this option must be OFF
Menu->System->General->Samsung Instant ON - this option must be OFF
(if these options are not existing on your TV, simply don't set them!) - Download InstallSamygo_4_H and extract all to root of FAT USB
- Move samyext4.img from SamyGO folder on USB to InstallSamygo\data folder (if you have previously used root). SamyGO folder can be deleted.
If you have not previously used root then download samyext4.zip from HERE (New! 25/09/2015), unpack samyext4.img and copy it to InstallSamygo\data folder on FAT USB
- Now you should have FAT USB with folder InstallSamygo
- Connect USB to TV
- Launch "Install SamyGO-H" from SmartHub (if it doesn't appear reboot TV). Sometimes it is necessary to connect USB WHILE TV IS OFF!!!
- Press "Enter" and wait until it finishes (5 lines should appear with the "Ok" at the end)
- If Menu->System->General->Samsung Instant ON (Menu->System->General->Quickly Power OFF Samsung) is existing on your TV then
reboot TV and wait 1-2 minutes - If Menu->System->General->Samsung Instant ON (Menu->System->General->Quickly Power OFF Samsung) is NOT existing on your TV then
power off the TV by removing the plug from the socket.
Next - press "power" button on the remote (2-3 times) until the light goes out at the front of the TV. Or wait 10 minutes.
Insert the plug into the socket, power on the TV - TV will reboot itself or crash (it won't respond to remote control). It is EXPECTED for TV to crash and/or reboot multiple times
- If your TV reboots do nothing but if it crashes unplug the power cable
- Repeat previous step till TV becomes stable once again (stops crashing and/or rebooting)
Should work for T-GFS and some old T-GFP firmwares.
- Install SamyGO widget as described in MST section (steps 1-4)
- Do not power off TV. Set scheduled power on (use most close schedule as possible)
- Power off TV and wait for TV power on
If you launched the "Install SamyGO-H" and after pressing "Enter" first 2 lines appear with "Ok" at the ends, and 3 lines appear with "No" at the ends, and SamyGO not loaded after TV rebooting, it is necessary to do the following.
1. Run in Windows command prompt
Code: Select all
telnet [IPaddressOfTV] 3123
Code: Select all
chmod 777 /mtd_rwcommon/widgets/user
4. Press "Enter" and wait until it finishes (5 lines should appear with the "Ok" at the ends)
5. Steps 5-9 (for MST), 2-3 (for the non-MST).
Now SamyGO is started and telnet/ssh/netcat/ftp/etc. should work.
Check telnet on 23 and 3123 ports
Check ssh on 22 port (user: root, password: SamyGO)
Notes:
- Widget SamyGO-H(Uninstall) (appears after installation in SmartHub) used to remove SamyGO startup files (and then remove the widget itself).
- Widget RestoreSmG (appears after installation in SmartHub) used to repair SamyGO startup files (in case of failure).
If you press "red" key after start InstallSamygo from USB then SamyGO startup files are repaired (as it is done in RestoreSmG) and widgets are restored, "image" is not replaced. - In the case of incorrect SamyGO work (TV restarts, hangs, etc.) use STOP_SAMYGO (empty file in the root of usb) and netcat on port 3023 (or telnet on port 3123) to correct errors. You can also use FTP on port 21.
- After installation of SamyGO you can install Skype, if you need one. Skype will work with SamyGO.
