Re: [!!!] Rooting H series
@juuso: yes, it's working with usb plugged in. But for using smarthub, the TV needs to have internet access. So all of my questions have been answered.juuso wrote:@puetz42 even with usb plugged in?
Thanks again.

Re: [!!!] Rooting H series
So has anyone been working on how to root the models below the h6350, since they arent compatible with skype??
Re: [!!!] Rooting H series
i would like to know it toofraglord wrote:Anybody had success with a more recent firmware after 2130.0 ?
2134.3 for example?
Re: [!!!] Rooting H series
on these models (if you have smart hub) you should be able to "force tv" to install Skype and then the rooting will workryn0909 wrote:So has anyone been working on how to root the models below the h6350, since they arent compatible with skype??
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!
If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!
DO NOT EVER INSTALL FIRMWARE UPGRADE !!!!

Re: [!!!] Rooting H series
yes the tv has smarthub. that would be awsome, but how would i go about doing that? ive tried changing the region several times, eg: uk, canada, usa and still cant get skype to come up in smarthub.sectroyer wrote:on these models (if you have smart hub) you should be able to "force tv" to install Skype and then the rooting will workryn0909 wrote:So has anyone been working on how to root the models below the h6350, since they arent compatible with skype??

I have that Fw Version - not working on my ue32H6470. Tried it exactly as described. No reboots. no logs on usb. no telnet, ftp
Re: [!!!] Rooting H series
UE46H7000ATXRU (ver. TS01, f/w 2130) has been successfully rooted.
0. I had already mentioned "I/O error" with /mnt directory but everything went fine as soon as I inserted another fl?sh drive as PVR device and tried again from scratch after factory and smarthub resets.
TV had rebooted 4 times and finished with the message that new device (SamyGO Virt.) was found.
Seems that line
1. Telnet works well (without any password) on default port 23, but it also is accessible from ports 33
2. Actually I'd love to disable telnet at all as I prefer ssh which works too without an issue with the default credentials root/SamyGO. So is it safe to:
a) disable telnet daemons completely?
b) change root password?
If, for example, I'll forget the password, will I be able to perform the same steps to obtain root rights again and reset the password to default "SamyGO"? I am not sure either mmc blocks are virtual or they are located in the TV's internal memory.

Seems that line
is not correct as I had to press enter once or twice and exit then. The widget will automatically finish installation (No need to push any buttons).

and 2123/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
/tmp #
However, typing anything in these two terminals doesn't have any feedback. Ctrl+C doesn't work too. Are these ttys necessary? Can I disable them? And is it ok that "job control turned off" whatever does it mean?/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
/dtv $
