What I'd love to see is:
Switch off the LNB when it is not needed, e.g, during playback
of PVR or DLNA movies.
My 15 years old Humax and Dreambox STBs do this out of the
box but with the shitty Samsung TV the multiswitch stays
powered on the whole time ;-(.

I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)

Netflix Patch, it won't run when rooted.
I had to logout of my Samsung Account and log in with this login info:
Username/Login/Email: develop
Password: ANYpassword, I used: any420
Then I was able to Update Netflix from 4.075 to 4.1 and it works now.

Hi,
is it possible to activate by software patch the SCART output when playing movies with the built-in movie player? The output is on when using the internal tuner, but when switching to movieplayer it is switched off. Of course no chance, if it is a hardware design limitation.
Thanks.

Re: *** Requests for apps/patches H series ***
I investigated about that, I don't think it's hardware limited but it's so deeply hardcoded that it's quite impossible. Got full PVR playback on Scart out though, and media player... audio only! No way for external sources. And tested on E only for now, not sure it would work on later seriesmatthewk wrote:is it possible to activate by software patch the SCART output when playing movies with the built-in movie player? I do NOT receive any PM. Please use forum.

It would be nice if you could record Amazon Instant Video/Netflix or your HDMI Sources for Game PVR
Re: *** Requests for apps/patches H series ***
Hi Zoelchat,
thanks for looking into the SCART topic. When you say you got full PVR playback on SCART that means only for movies that were recorded by the TV? And for files you play from remote, i.e. a MKV from a DLNA server or from a mounted share you only got Audio? I have also an E Series, can you share how you did activate the output?
I am less concerned of activating the SCART when playing input from external sources, that could be bypassed by using a HDMI splitter and subsequent converter to SCART. But obviously that option is not available when using the built-in media player. And since the TV does not have a HDMI output port, the only remaining output option is SCART, which is working fine when using the TV tuner - unless you hit the timeshift button, then output stops immediately.
Anyway, just in case you are wondering, what I am trying to achieve: I would like to add some Ambient light to the TV and for this I need to have access to the image that the TV displays...
