I confirm - I was able to DOWNGRADE my UE65HU8200, T-GFP8DEUC from 2410.0 to 0000.

There are 4 root methods:
Skype (ended since there is no Skype)
SkypeReplacement (FW <1290)
SkypeRefueled (FW <2150.9)
Network root (FW <1290)

Which one is the best? newest?

In the first post it is said that the last possible firmware version for Network root is 1290. Where can I find so old firmware? (the earliest in libFWdowngrade thread is: 2130.6).

Thanx for answering!

UE58H5203
T-NT14MDEUC 1119.2

in the past mihd sayd that that img file needs some patch idk if this patch actually is the newvdfs.zip file

just to remember, my TV has no builtin wifi, but is possible to attach an USB dongle to enable it, firmware is very old (i've blocked ota prior 2017)

can i give it a try or i have high risk to break something?

EDIT: ok just tryied, i used newvdfs.img

This the log:
Image

wifi_vendor.txt:

Code: Select all

3
network_type_info.txt:

Code: Select all

CurrentType=0
deleted these 2 files and attached an usb wifi dongle, changed to wifi connection, the result is the same, the only change is that:
network_type_info.txt:

Code: Select all

CurrentType=1
Also tried te "Root Enabler" method, so i assume is just unrootable with these exploits

Trying itself won't break anything. Also we have developed H root enabler but that it's available for donors only.

I have an UE32J5200 (H disguised), firmware T-N14MJDEUC_1121.0. Network root worked OK for several years (with the same firmware and method). Suddenly the TV started to hang after two minutes. Decided to put 0000 firmware and after that again 1211. Then I did a Factory reset.
While trying to gain root, and launch Widget, the root procedure is not advancing anymore, saying that samyext4.img is not found. But for my firmware, I have to use newvdfs.img
IMG_20201227_040467.jpg
The only way I managed to obtain root was to modify the file:

\\InstallSamyGO-H\JavaScript\Main.js
by modifing the following line:
currentStep += exists(usbMountPath + "/SamyGO/samyext4.img")
in
currentStep += exists(usbMountPath + "/SamyGO/newvdfs.img")

From your signature I can see that you installed network root at fw 1121 and THEN updated to 1211? I don't think this root supports 1211 :)

Sorry. My bad. I was taking about 1121 not 1211. I edited my post.

Yes, but only after I modified the file \\InstallSamyGO-H\JavaScript\Main.js
I think it has to be included an "If" condition regarding the existence of samyext4.img or newvdfs.img file
