Here's mine for a ua55K6000akxxa - panel type: 55L6AF0KK. What you have mentioned so far makes sense, just can not think of the last letter K. However here's a link that suggests there's not much to worry about, http://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/panel-lottery-samsung

Hi guys. Can anyone please help me to find my panel type code for my tv?
http://icecat.us/en/p/samsung/ue55h6204 ... 23169.html

Contacted samsung support but they wanted to send someone to my house and price would land around maybe 50-100 $.

I change the "type" of my model and now I have problem with selecting size 16:9. Anyone, please help me :(

Looks you didn't understand the point there which is "parse a panel type you own", not "guess one you erased".
You can only rely on somebody with same TV, and kind enough to share info (...or find by yourself).

Anaglyota perhaps you can help or anyone else chime in:

Do you know what the setting would be for a 65 inch if the (same model as the 55 inch) but a larger tv - I have messed up my panel type.
UE55J6300 type panel :55A1AF0W

I see in your post from 2016 you listed out TVs and settings and this 55 inch was on the list but not the 65 inch same tv but larger

In the settings I see in the menu I see only - any idea which I should select?

65D1AFOV
65L1FOV
65L1AFOVJ

I believe I got it solved 65L1AFOV Vs 65L1AFOVJ (the J is for 2015) which is my TVs year manufactured but seems like the code without the J is better. So I am using 65L1AFOV

I was expecting to see the panel manufactured by Samsung like the 55 inch (thus a A) but on another forum I saw to look at the back of the TV to see what panel I had. It is a AH01 (AU Optronics) which thanks to Anaglypta's chart I found is (L). I never thought I could get through all this - a lot of learning for sure. For one for me not to mess with settings.

Do NOT change your panel type, at best you'll ruin your picture, at worst you'll brick your TV.
indeed it's what happened to me... :?
It's not bricked, but I messed up the 3d functionality, which now has too much ghosting.
How can I know which was the original panel number, to restore it?
I have an UE40F6400AY.
