DTS Neo2.5, how does it work?

DTS Neo 2.5 option always gray, either HDMI source or movie from HDD?

How does it work?

It should be available only if SPDIF out is selected as main afaik (...and except if audio track is already DTS).
Surely also over ARC or BT/SoundShare, but not tried...

Actually upmixing 2 to 5 channels on TV speakers has not much sense

Ok. My question was How Does it Work? not, "What does it mean?"
I mean, How can I turn it gray-to-black? on which condition?

I answered: do not select TV speaker as audio out, but SPDIF or other 5.1 out
