So i repaired the symlinks for use with fat/ntfs system.
I also added an working config file and an init.

I only use hyperiond.sh with forwarder to send framebuffer to my external Hyperion-server.

Have fun.
Now im also just an observer...

Hello,
After I tried a lot to install Hyperion on the TV and did not make it, I would like to know if there might be a guide or someone could help me.

Thanks a lot!

I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!
If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!
DO NOT EVER INSTALL FIRMWARE UPGRADE !!!!

Hello.
I'd like to try this Ambilight stuff but some info on how to install it and where the configs are would be helpful. I know he didn't say anything about support, but what's the point of the work he's done if no one else can use it? I'm not expecting a full guide but at least some pointers on the basics of getting it working. How to install it, for example, and where which settings have to be made so that it starts. Unless @bugfix wants to do it, I hope someone else will.

Would you please share your knowledge with us? Just like you, I would like to use this too. Hyperiond reads the image on the TV and should either send it directly to the ESP(WLED) or to a Rasp Pi with HyperBian.
The problem is where which files have to be placed and where do I have to adapt something to my environment and hardware stuff.

I think it's no help to find here from people who published it. They have been inactive on this forum for about three years. Hopefully still alive.
I think I've gotten a little further now.
Use FileZilla and put the hyperion.tgz in the Samygo folder on the stick.
Then use putty and unpack it with the following command.

Code: Select all

tar -xvzf hyperion.tgz
Now all files should be in the right place.
The next step will be to start it correctly and find out the right configuration to use it.
