is there any root fully tested for j series ? what are funcionalities and benfits of a custom kernel for tizen os ?

You have telnet, ftp, samba, everything
But ONLY if you blocked updates on router I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)

You can also wait. One day J root become available for all registered users (like a lot of another hacks became available in the past, too). But i believe, this will happen not this year, definitely.
