Disable or Turn on BT Non-Discoverable.

Post by SuperSman1970 »

Hello All,
I have several Samsung CU8000 series TV's in our district. My issues are Bluetooth related and I am in need of finding an option to either Disable Bluetooth completely, or simply Disable Bluetooth Discovery on these sets, or if there is there alternate hardware that could intercept the BT pairing requests?

When going through the service menu (Mute,1,1,9, Enter) then hitting 1,2,3,4, to get to the deeper menu I see an option in the Debug section to turn on the BT Non-Discoverable option (Default it is OFF). When set to "ON" and the TV is rebooted, I can still attempt to pair it with any Bluetooth device like a phone or iPad. Perhaps maybe there are several "other" settings that need to be toggled on/off in order for it to stop broadcasting and allow pairing. I suppose even if basic Pairing was disabled that would also work. The goal is keeping people out of it and not interfering with the digital signage that is being displayed.

Thanks for any and all ideas and assistance offered.
Steve
