Service Menu problem

I didn't have the chance to try it. This morning local Samsung Service technician called me and told me they will change my TV main board. The price was OK and everything now it's OK. My wife love me again .
Anyway, lesson was learned: research twice before make any move on unknown fields!

May I ask, what they charged you to replace the motherboard, so that we know, what it'll cost us next time ?

Sorry guys, I can't get you more details about how much I pay for the board replacing. Tech guy told me about the forums watched by manufacturers officials.
I don't know if it's true or not but I don't wanna make him troubles, he was very nice and helpfully...

Entering service menu will change settings only. I think it could be restored by reflashing. Changing board is not came logic to me. I don't know what happened on your board actually. But you needed to receive older board.

No, the old board was taken by the technician. If i remeber right, the last settings I've changed was related to the type of panel. After that, TV entered on some kind of boot loop and it remains black. So, it wasn't possible to change back the panel type, nothing can be seen on TV.

Why? It's legally yours. You bought new board right? I think technician fools you about the problem.
As a computer engineer, changing a setting from service menu (even if its type settings) will not kill the TV. This only corrupt flash which could be fixed by clearing flash and loading new program.
Because internal hardware is protect itself. You cannot kill TV easily with software. It is too rare situation. And my suspect is multiple by 10 because of technician keeps old hardware. If it is realy broken, what they do with it sorry to hear what happened
