Bypassing internet test on BD-P3600?

I just got a BD-P3600, and am planning to do some network based things with it. However, the device’s network test keeps failing. After a bit of looking around I figured out that the test consists of it trying to connect to yahoo.com, icq.com, and afternic.com. I don’t know which part of this test is failing, though I’m guessing it’s HTTPS related. Can anyone help?

Is your device connected to routert? Is it cable or WiFi? Does the device get IP address? How do you know it fails network test?
