If I send an "INFO FACTORY" command with the power on, the screen displays "NOT AVAILABLE" in a grey box in the lower left corner.
I have tried everything ChatGPT/Google.AI suggests - Hospitality Mode ON/OFF, Hospitality mode 12345-Enter, Mute-182-Enter, 00000 on Advanced option to open up deeper menu options, 3SPEED FACTORY on option menu to extend menu options.
"Local Set" just does not appear.
When I first switched on the TV, the display was in Far East glyphs (can't tell if Chinese or Japanese) but fortunately have been able to switch the language to English. If I go to the MRT options following the FACTORY+3SPEED command, it shows "Language_Arabic: HONGKONG" and "Region: HKG" entries, both greyed out. I am wondering if the TV has been set to a Hong Kong "local set" and this is more locked down than other regions?
So.... I have located the service manual "samsung_ue55hu7500l_ue65hu7500l_chassis_u8ga_sm.pdf" and it documents an "EEPROM RESET" option under SVC.RESET menu option. Might this be what I need to do to re-enable Local Set option display?
Google.AI declares:
Is that true?"When your TV was manufactured, a technician hooked it up to specialized hardware to perform fine-tuned ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter) calibrations, white balance adjustments, and panel color profiles unique to your specific physical display. An "EEPROM RESET" permanently deletes these custom calibrations"
How bad can I mess up this TV if I use this EEPROM RESET command?
Thank you
