But what's the point making it work on rooted TV if it is successfully works on not rooted one.
All what you need is too change the TV model and then download the widget.
I think what is more interesting right now is to figure out some cheap web camera with microphone that would work with that skype

PS: i cannot see any picture difference if i change my C750 to UC8000 (plus i get some additional options that are for LED but somehow they are working on my LCD too)

I guess that the ad is wrong, as far as I know, the Skype widget is not supported in the C750. This should be country independent. (The Fretalk cam in the Skype shop also says, that it is only for the "C7000 and C8000 series only").

BTW. I can not change my country settings to any UK country. It is not listed.

But, if someone has a rooted C7000/C8000 or has modified the TV, such that it downloads the Skype widget (with the c650@uc8000 way), it would be really nice, if he could copy the Skype widget files and upload the files. Then I would check if the app could be installed as a usermode app.

When you first start "skype widget" it downloads "skype software". then it just starts by that widget and also works in background though.
We better find someone who has that "skype web camera" and rooted tv that we could make some cheap cameras also work

I am not happy to change the firmware of a TV that uses CCFL to the configuration that it uses LEDs. I have no idea if there are sideeffects with this approach.

I am 99.9% sure that there are none.
If you have concerns about those additional menus that appear after the model change, then you can take a look in service menu and switch them off. Something like "light support" and "energy meter" or something like that. I personally switched them off.
