Something like

Code: Select all

# cd /mtd_wiselink/SamyGo/DTS_Test
# ./atest1
should work.

I do not declared bounty for pass-thru before, but now decided to give $100 for this hack. (After checking if it's works on B650)
Doesn't it worth to it? :D
People, please don't get over-excited just yet :). THIS IS NOT AN ACTUAL DTS-PASSTHROUGH APPLICATION.
It's just a simple proof-of-concept, published in hope this (or similar) method may be useful for smartsmurf (after it's confirmed this hack actually works - and it's
usable for practical purposes ).

It plays a dts file via optical output. Only if executed from bash client. That's all. :)

I was trying to run it directly, without making cd, and this was wrong.
But now yessssss, it works very well !!! Man, you're great!

Not likely. I'm afraid that's way above my abilities.
This is just an idea for DTS passthrough ( may have some potential - or perhaps not); it doesn't really deserve a donation.
IMO ,at best, a lot of work will still be required for making it into practical solution.
So, if you have some donation money to spare on this subject, my suggestion is: please give it to smartsmurf, to support his excellent hard work.

Like you said I have opened an avi file from TV's internal media player with mp3 audio than paused it. I have connected to TV from telnet and run the program and it works :) . Thank you for this awesome work. What will be the next step to integrate this work to TV's own media player ?
WOOOW

I have test it successful, too on my LEXXB750CI+ with Denon 1802 over SPDIF.

great job
