Failing in discovering BD-D6900 as a Upnp (DLNA) client

Post by lucads »

Hello, I'm trying to control the streaming of media from a PC with JRiver Media Center installed on to my Samsung devices: I've a UE46D8000 Tv and a BD-D69000 bluray player.
Both the TV and the BD are able to see the server and to browse and play contents when I access the server directly from TV or BD.
So far, so good. But if I try to use my pc or my IPAD (I tried on theIPAD with almost all the usable apps and on my pc with all the known dlna servers and controllers) to control media playing on my devices, I'm able to see as 'Renderer devices' only the TV and not the BD D6900. It seems the BD-D6900 doesn't answer to the discovery datagram sent on the network...
Is this a problem in the Samsung upnp implementation for the BD-D6900 ?
Have anybody experienced the same behavior ?

Greetings

Luca
