There is something wrong with this new firmware - archive have odd structure there is only directory "image" and here is no files:

MicomCtrl
rc.local
run.sh.enc

TV doesn't recognize this soft! I think Samsung's programmers done something wrong.
or maybe this soft became similar to C series?

Kind of. I guess 3001.1 will be recognized just fine by tv's with 3000.2 installed
No bigger; just doesn't compress so well, because it's encrypted (not simply xored like previous ones).

Yes, as I read news from others users I can confirm that Samsung made trick.
You can upgrade only from 3000.2 to 3001.1, upgrading from earlier version is not supported.
As far as I know there is no DTS and no new internet@tv - so I guess it is another play with SamyGo users.

Here is one report from user, who has updated his LE40B653T5WXRU with new firmware (from 3000.2 to 3001.1).(you can use google translate to translate it from russian).

He noticed, that:

• Alternative fw rollback from fw upgrade menu remains inactive.
• Some new menus for audio settings are added eg. Audio language, Audio format, Audio description, Sound select.
• Still no DTS support.
• Few new adds to content library (eg. new children stories...).
• New inactive "BD Wise" in Settings menu (don`t know what it does).
• Telnet Enabler from tv memory does not work any more - TV hangs.
• UID encoding error with Samygo Troja horse...

There is only once report about experience with new fw. Is here new kamikadze to confirm findings?

that is interesting, however it doesn't have confirm in binary changes, maybe something is enabled not added.

I don't know content is not part of upgrade.

that is for bluray, it use wider colorspace source
