Cin**** Removal, Firmware for HT-D4500

Post by Jonboy »

Hello,

I have the Samsung Home Theatre Blu-Ray system, HT-D4500 (http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owner ... t/HT-D4500) and the Cin**** DRM is driving me nuts.

I have subsequently donated the correct amounts and wish to download the firmware to get rid of the problem but I cannot find a simple answer as to what I must download, please can you assist with a link to the correct firmware?

Thank you

AFAIK you can't solve your problem by installing "correct firmware". You have to use cinavia patch which removes Cinavia. But first you have to root your device. I don't know if there exist rooting method for your device...
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!
If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!
DO NOT EVER INSTALL FIRMWARE UPGRADE !!!!

@sectroyer, thanks, hence my question - must I use the software as proposed in the thread (the one you have to pay for access to) or must I use the DNS method proposed?

The system uses the SmartHub like most others I've seen here
