UE40JU7000 installing german/english firmware on benelux-model for unicable

Some time has passed and now there is a German firmware available T-HKMDEUC_1452.0.exe which has a higher version number than my current
Benelux firmware (1445) . Would it be an option to try to install/upgrade to that German version?

I have risked to upgrade to 1452.0 using the download EXE which was available on the German Samsung site. The upgrade succeeded but I'm still missing the unicable option in the LNB-section. In my opinion this could be caused by:
1. The firmware for the German and the Benelux model being the same (I can't check this 100% because the firmware is not downloadable from the Belgian website)
and 2. Samsung using geolocation to avoid displaying the unicable option for the UE40JU7000L (Benelux)
or 3. Samsung uses a feature in the hardware itself to avoid displaying the unicable option for the UE40JU7000L (Benelux), this would mean there is a hardware difference between UE40JU7000L (Benelux) and UE40JU7000T (Germany)

What do you think guys?

Whatever firmware in use, it is multilingual/multilocal accross regions: paneuro, asia, usa etc.
All what you need is just set proper region/ country in service menu. Be careful, easy-brick-danger. Search on forum before enter sm.

PANEURO region is OK (Germany is still in Europe, right? ). I think you have to change local set to EU_GER.

The url you are referring to has information for the H-series, do you think playing the wav-file would also bring extra options for the J-series as just entering the service mode does not show an option to change local set.

When I read the explanation in the wiki, it is written: "Send Factory + 3SPEED to unlock greyed out service menu settings", however on my UE40JU7000 the service menu settings I'm looking for are not greyed out, they just aren't there at all. Would sending "Factory + 3SPEED" then make extra options visible?
Another related question: I have a Nexus 5 which does not have IR, is it possible to add a IR-module to it and is there an app which can work with such an added IR blaster to play the wav-file through it?
