So every old TV will receive update with functions from newer TV ?
Just out of curiosity we are you all discussing this shit in J Rooting thread :P And why the hell are you keep on installing updates when explained MULTIPLE TIMES that it BLOCKS root ? :)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!
If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!
DO NOT EVER INSTALL FIRMWARE UPGRADE !!!!

Because to have a root permission on systems based on Linux you need some exploit and when you find exploits usually Samsung will block it immediately in next update so the lowest (oldest) versions have always more holes.
Just like with Windows when someone find some hole to take the control of your windows M$ want to release update ASAP, this is because people (companies) want to have safety system.
English is not my native language.
48H6500 (T-MST14DEUC_2606 -> 2130)
22H5610 (T-MST14DEUC_1106.1)
Both rooted by mihd method :)
55HU8590 -> rooted by network, did someone root it by Skype ?

And ? :) You are talking obvious stuff. Block updates on router and STOP updating :) ONLY THEN root :)

Root is unreleased, so Samsung can't block it. So I can install all updates, because root is not locked yet. I think you waiting for EoL (End of Support) for J series, and then you release root for J series.

In the future, after root will be released I can downgrade my FW through J-TAG or RS232 jack port. Or through programmer if inside is normal TSOP flash.

1. JTAG is locked
2. you cant upgrade through RS232
3. its EMMC not TSOP

sectroyer,
If i understand you correctly the train has left the station for me then, i received my Ju7005 with the latest (the one before the release @ 12.19.2016)
So you know / tested that you root only work up to a set version of the fw ?
I also believed that the point was to be 100% sure that i could block it after rooting, to avoid Samsung future attempt to kill it :(

So how @sectroyer rooted J series ? Desolder BGA flash, read, modify dump, write ? Can't be this way because dump is encrypted.
