Audio description

Hello. My UE40B7070 has option that speaks the teletext subtitles (with a robotic voice, but very impressive one), but it's working only for certain programs that have two audio languages present and when one of them is Dutch. If I select the Dutch, the TV speaks the teletext subs as Finnish.

Now I'm wondering that there must be some exeDSP function that controls whether the audio description is on or off and it would be nice to have just one button to enable/disable it, and that it would work for all programs that have teletext subs, regardless of audio languages present.

I don't aware from such a thing! How can I do that, or is it possible with B650?

Don't know if it's available. Check the audio menu. It was a surprise for me too, when I accidentally found out the feature.

In the UK, "Audio Description" is an audio track which is intended for the sight-impaired. The receiver should mix it with the selected audio track. According to the wikipedia article, satelite and cable normally pre-mix the AD/narrative track with the normal audio. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_description

I tested this more, and it seems that the Audio menu -> Audio description on/off didn't affect. Nor the AD volume option. It seems that when I select some other language than my own (if there are other options) the TV will speak the subtitles (but this does not count for all channels/programs, so it might be program specific thing)

Edit: Indeed it is broadcaster specific thing. They are sending the speech data for the other language. Sorry, my mistake.

It is the secondary audio language that has the speech audio mixed in. The TV has no speech synthesizer, but that was my first impression.
