unfortunetaly, no access to any android with IR - otherwise i would have never gone as far as to build the transmitter...
strange, it was easy to send the TV into this strange state - so i doubt that the signal is "too weak" and i tried notebook, cellphone, ipad, all with volume powerde up, and i just don't get any response.

You can try visit your local "secondhand shop" ask them about return policy. If you get satisfied answer like "Yes we return money" , buy there and if they have some android smartfone with build IR (galaxy S4,S4 mini. HTC. LG G3.....). If the answer is "NO we don't retourn money, we give you ticket with the same value" then look for another shop where you can buy smartphone and return back saying that is not working or somethink like this.
