I tried other app IDs, didn't work so I guess it must be the updated firmware preventing me from doing it. Should I reset the firmware to an earlier state and then try? I guess it's not recommended to downgrade, eh?

Has anyone else the same issue? I don't want to roll back the firmware and all related issues that might arise.

Registered to say this worked for me - thanks OP.
I downloaded Tizen Studio, ran Device Manager and connected to the TV (find your TVs IP via your router). Mines a 6200U, from 2017. Once connected, use the command line as per the OP and I uninstalled lots of bloatware. Reason for doing so is the TV volume was getting stuck intermittently, I guessed it was a memory issue and found this guide online. Ill see if this resolves the issue.
