How can I help improving it further? Is there sourcecode and some development-level documentation?
there is a svn for the core and init scripts http://samygo.svn.sourceforge.net/viewv ... xtensions/
toolchain and kernel sources are at samsung opensource site https://opensource.samsung.com/index.jsp

not really documented (documentation are the scripts per se :-) ) then the samygo extensions is like a normal linux system...
the binaries are compiled from original sources (djmount, showmount etc.)

Thanks for creating the wiki for MStar!

I just came across this post while trying to figure out what's wrong with the vusb and samba server... so it's not me, it's a known problem...
Can I help with some testing?

BTW, can you fix the forum search? It doesn't work... e.g. searching for "samba server" says it's too common term and doesn't return any results...
It's then quite ridiculous to read everywhere that one is supposed to use search before asking...

MY TV:
SAMSUNG UE40D5700RSXZF
CPU: Mstar
Firmware: T-MST5
Software version: 001013

I used this tutorial "http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Root_a ... cpu_models" and installed all widgets needed. Now when I use SamyGo widget I can't see anything in my "Virtual USB Server". I can see only endless message "Loading...". Any chance to get acces via my TV to shared files in network?

Actually i haven`t understood your problem well. Waht do you mean by "Virtual USB server"?
What does it mean "loading" what loading, where? On the screen? Inside Video?

Please, be more detail. Here isn`t any Virtual USB server, also no Samba server on TV side, just samba client to mount network Samba shares.

This "endless Loading... message" is actually not endless... it disappears eventually... after a REALLY LONG TIME...
I shortened the 'endless' waiting significantly by disabling the nfsmount.init, fuse.init and fusesmb.init script... so only the samba.init script is active. This also solved the problem that I was not able to browse shared folders. (I actually found this solution in one older thread about the shared folders browsing problem)

It still takes a few minutes to finish 'loading' the content of samba shares, but it works in the end!
It probably depends on how much content (how many files) you have on the samba shares. And maybe also on the speed of the USB device (since it "mounts" via the USB device - the 'sda1' folder)...
