you can only do updates from the USB or channel (cable/sat/telestrial if is presented Samsung Data Channel) from the ordinary menu.

FACTORY+3SPEED_inv.wav does not work!

My way:
- Turn TV on
- Play INFO_FACTORY_inv.wav (to open Service Menu from ordinary TV)
- Play FACTORY_from_Remote_inv.wav AND 3SPEED_from_Remote_inv.wav (be very quick!!!)

-> then disable OTN as described in WIKI
- Turn TV off to be sure, that changes get really stored

Thats it! TVs are safe now, so lets go SamyGO! ;)

 BTW, can updates still be done from the ordinary menu with the search option? Or does not the TV find updates anymore, so that firmware can only installed from USB? :?:
This method worked quite well on my 22Fsomething... the OTN Support is under MRT as in the wiki.
It must be changed immediately after FACTORY+3SPEED without switching off the TV otherwise the extended menu is lost.

Now I will apply also on F8000 ... I should have been more brave before ... now I am in 1118...

Yes. I am trying now.

BTW, I have put in OFF OTN Service also on my F8000.
Is it normal that after that if I enter in service menu with
[MENU] [MUTE] [POWER] the extended menu is not anymore accessible but if with TV ON I Play INFO_FACTORY_inv.wav, than the extended menu is there without play FACTORY+3SPEED_inv.wav ?

Anyhow OTN is OFF now :)

I've got problem when I'd like to get to extended menu. When I play "INFO_FACTORY_inv" or "INFO_from_REMOTE_inv" it shows infobar. It should shows extended service menu, right?

-INFO_FACTORY access "normal" service menu (not extended) from TV on, like does INFO-MENU-MUTE-POWER from TV off.
-FACTORY_3SPEED access extended service menu when you're already in "normal" service menu.
-INFO shows infobar, it's "normal" :)

Better use (quickly) separate wavefiles for each key sent, it seems waves containing successive keys are sometimes too... quick!

Isn't it just best to access normal menu using INFO-MENU-MUTE-POWER when TV off and then play FACTORY_3SPEED until you get extended ? :D

Tested on F6500.
When TV is turned off press: info, menu, mute, power on your remote control. It should appears primary service menu. Now you have to plug IR blaster's jack into headphones socket in your PC and play 'FACTORY+3SPEED_inv' (I used WMP, vol: 100%). Then you'll see four colors (green blue white red screen) appearing alternately. Now you should press power on the back side of the TV. (Power on remote control doesn't work). Now you see extented service menu. Go to "Option" -> "MRT Option" -> "OTN Support" -> Off (changing by left-right keys). Restart your TV and that's all. Firmware updates are totally turned off!

For some users (including me) FACTORY_3SPEED wave doesn't work, it seems only FACTORY key is received, that's why I call it "too quick". Best way is surely the one which work :)
