Did you check user manual?
http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/conte ... 202827.pdf
It seems to be possible to switch from hospitality to "standalone" mode by pressing MUTE-1-1-9-ENTER
(page 23). I don't know what it means exactly but maybe you'll find some other interesting things in manual...

I set it up as a 'standalone' device from the beginning but SmartHub looks like a truncated version. I'm now following instructions pointed by 'sectroyer'. Hope this will work.
Thanks!

No need to follow whole instructions, it is E series rooting procedure and surely it won't work at all on your TV. Sectroyer meant you can just put a widget on an USB key for it to be detected by TV/launched in smarthub. No more

Ah ok

. Worth the try but probably waste of effort as fw is H series(?) T-MST14DEUC. We even don't know if Skype widget is available on that exotic model

Skype is available and can even be launched
I tried to download RAR archive but download speed was very very slow by that time. Now it's downloading just fine. Will update later tomorrow when I arrive to office.

Update: downloaded RAR file, extracted to the root of USB Disk, Connected to the powered off TV, powered it On but no success
Meanwhile I found a company (
www.eona.com) that produces IPTV middleware and they seem to have special firmware for that particular modem. Scheduled skype call early tomorrow. Let's see what happens.
