Okay @zoelechat, good for you 8-) Making people think is quite a noble errand ;-)

On a serious note, though: I hope you understand my post was not meant as criticism at all!

Just a quick question out of curiosity: does anyone know what the "SWU Reset" option in the Factory settings (under Sub Option) means or does?

Cheers,
Sando

Actually procedure does not really contain "errors", all depends on models/firmwares. Much more variants exist on H than E/F, that's why it has to remain "hazy" ;)

About "SWU" it usually means "Sotware Update", but no idea what is expected from "resetting" it. Please tell us if ever you try, but keep in mind that too much playing with service menu can easily lead to brick :)

If I'm in a daring mood and try the SWU reset, I'll be sure to let you know! I've got some experience bricking devices (a few NASes) ;) , but this one would probably be the first that would make my girlfriend angry

Btw, I didn't say there were errors, but I just discovered that some of the descriptions didn't fit with my particular model. Hopefully, this can reassure some H model owners and make them research a little bit further. :geek:
