Yeah, still 24h before all timezones are June 3rd

Well, Skype disappeared from my TV. And SamyGo does not start.

BUT!!!!

Several days ago, I copied all Skype related files to /mtd_rwcommon/widgets/user/Skype dir. So I had two Skype icons, one "ordinary" and second labelled on red strip as "user". Now I run "user" labelled Skype icon once and EVERYTHING WORKS OK !!!

You have to run Skype on every boot?? Pain in the ass

Which TV series are you running on?

No. Just ONE time. I turn off/on TV several times and everything works without running Skype every time.

Otherwise replacement root was there: [App] Skype to non-Skype root transition E/F
But better not apply it now you can't fullfill the "uninstall Skype" step anymore

OK. Will keep in mind. So and my TV is 55ES8000, equipped in Skype camera

You still can just apply 1st step (install widget to /mtd_rwcommon/widgets/user), just in case, if you loose root you'll just have to launch that widget

This seems to be a good idea. I blocked all internet access from my TV to internet on my router before I started my TV. My TV is still rooted and Skype is still there. I can still access my TV from my computer.

So, where do I find Skype? I suppose it is in /mtd_rwcommon/widgets/normal/ but how do I recognize it?

Check /mtd_rwcommon/common/WidgetMgr/info.xml
