I'm getting an "invalid channel list" error when trying to import the amended scm file (i.e. added usb_mount and 1.txt). Ridiculously, just discovered that I get the error even if I try to import an unmodified file! Any ideas what I can do?

Managed to get part this problem by doing a factory reset and then backing up the channels with no channels stored.
I've successfully written back the channel list but now I'm getting the "failed to receive" error. So I followed the instructions and added network_opt/usr/sbin/usb_mount to the channel scm, wrote the file back again and confirmed those directories have been created by using the Testing file which allowed me to browse the dir structure in the media player. I'm still unable to write back the TV settings in Hotel Mode. However, if I do an export of the settings in Hotel mode, I can then import them again. Any ideas where I'm going wrong?
Edit
--------
When I had the TV widget hacked, the USB device was SDA1. It now turns out that under this new hack, it had become SDA. I think (although it's diffiuclt to say for sure as I've tried a million different combinations/permutations of different settings), that changing the clone.dat to point to SDA rather than SDA1 solved the failed to receive error.
I wonder if this is because the USB stick I was using when I had the widget hack presents itself in Windows as a fixed disk but the USB stick I'm now using comes up as a removable disk. Perhaps someone with better Linux knowledge would know whether SDA vs SDA1 could be down to this?
Anyway, the long and the short of it is that my TV is hacked and I can connect to my SMB shares again. Thanks to all who worked this out!

AFAIK here isn`t any /tmp folder on TV, because root of fs is readonly here.
you should use any rw folder, e.g. /mtd_rwarea/
You have to start this busybox with help of script...
