I have a D series so I don't know how C series works (inside I mean).

In C-series, it's possible to access an extended service menu with lots of configuration options, potentially dangerous (brick TV).

It is here that you change info_link country for i@TV widget locale (recently card2000 found easy-way secret menu method for same).

I can also change the model from a list of about 40 types. There is some change to countries available under Dish menu with different models - there are two groupings (Cz, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Estonia, Other) and (Austria, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Other). By changing model type in extended service menu I can have one group or both. But no UK

Only hope for D then is to have root access and create some tool to read/write the TV's eeprom directly, bypassing the setup menus.
