Hehe. Let's hope than that "greyed out" means disabled. So just do what I suggested (set OTA Support to OFF and disable automatic updates in normal menu). We still don't know whether now Samsung:
1) Always updates
2) Uses OTA status for OTN updates
3) Uses user's choice from normal menu instead of (previously used) OTN Support.

First of all it is important to know that "auto-update stuff" start BEFORE ANY ROOTING METHOD. Also it's possible that OTN Support greyed out means "ignore" So it might not matter what we set there since it will be ignored

Glad to hear that. Most users don't want (even when risking auto-updates) disabled internet access. I think it might be a good idea. We never know what next "update" will bring

I'm the only one who uses Netflix and I finished Daredevil already. Season 2 isn't due for about 6-10 months. I only used Netflix to watch 4K UHD content.

The only other internet thing I use my TV for is to play Movies or TV Shows on my network harddrive, but really, it's only for my daughter and my wife doesn't watch too many movies at all.

So I am perfectly ok with having no internet while we try and root the T-NT14 firmwares.

and the option quick power off is not avalible on the hu
