Then it's probably rooted and you encounter a known problem. Here's how to fix it:

Ive tried that.

I cant FTP on to the TV.

I have no idea what the password to log onto it, besides even thouh I have the TVs IP address, Filezilla says it cannot find the TV on the network.

It crashes within 30 secons of turning on the TV.

Is there any other way of editting those files to stop it crashing?

No password for FTP (anonymous connection). Also disable Watchdog from service menu.

No problem do NOT use telnet . Instead use netcat on ports from first post and check log

Ive got FTP working sucessfully, although the remote is dead i can still browse the tv file system via ftp.

Whee is the directory for the 99 99 issue?

Ive done that and its no longer crashing

Ok so ive installed the samygo via the smarthub and now ive got the usb in the tv without the remote dying.

Is there anything more I need to do?

I want to cccam.cfg (or an equivalent) working.

On the video on page 1, I see the person goto 'auto ticker' and select 'samy2go'

The auto ticker option for me is greyed out. Do i need this to enable root for oscam?

Nope. Auto-ticker stuff is only part of non-MST models procedure. Now it's done anyway, and root is root, there's no specific "root for Oscam"
