I found some interesting info regarding those hacked C5xx TVs with unversal flesh drive and died after command reboot. Don't know if it was already discussed here.
translation:
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT! very important to turn off watchdog and turn on Debug in service menu before the hack!!! It will prevent your TV from dying after the command reboot!
add it PLS someone to wiki!!!
second undocumented thing on wiki.
Those pople with T-VALDEUC who has already hacked their TVs with universal flesh drive and have webadmin incorrectly working must replace httpd.tar.gz in TV /mtd_rwarea/network_opt/usr/plugins/ to the attached httpd.tar.gz, here. Then turn TV OFF and ON again.
the problem is that samsung busybox doesn't have gzip for tar.
Hi,
I use my Samsung C550 install the files attached to my your TV?
How to install?
Thank!

hey, sorry but in wiki and here in forum are really enough tips and manuals to get this managed...
if you aren't able to read and understand them its not meant for you to have a rooted tv... thats my opinion...
the risk that you break something is simply too high...

Hi all!,
I hacked my TV by using this Hotel Mode method.
I wonder if someone could tell me if the hack will still be there if I update the firmware from 3006.2 to 3008 / 3009 or 3011.
Thanks in advance!,

The hack will stil if you upgrade to 3008.3, 3009,3011,3014,3015.
it works with every know firmware available
Better firmware now looks like is 3011 because with it you can use record over nfs share and pvr-decypt patch for get decrypted pvr files

Thanks you very much for the information!

I suppose in 3011 it is already possible to record uncrypted pvr files by applying the method described in
viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2431
All the best!,

Hi all!,
If I do a factory reset to my TV by pressing EXIT button in the remote for ten seconds. Will I loose the hack I did by following the methods described in this thread?
Thanks in advance,

i haven't tried this yet
but there should be no risk, if you still have your hackdrive ready with the needed files its easy to re-apply the hack and costs < 1 minute...

Thanks beatfreak.
I tried it. The hack still remains after doing a factory reset.
