I have this tv : ue40f6400 with the firmware t mst12deuc 2126.0 bt-s.

Can I root my TV ?

If you read here viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8274 and if you do exactly what is on the 1st post of this topic viewtopic.php?f=63&t=7982, i think the answer is YES !

To prevent the file /mnt/sam.log growing too much (maybe if sam.log is too big the TV can reboot in loop), I edited in my USB device the line 47 in the file SamyGO_data/run1.sh
before: echo " " >> /mnt/sam.log 2>&1
now: echo " " > /mnt/sam.log 2>&1

We can root all E/F series even if we did yet a update of the firmware ? No need to downgrade ? I see "All ("smart"=having Smarthub) models on all firmwares are rootable".

YES. Now you can root from any FW you have installed but you have to chose your rooting method in function of the FW installed.

You have the same firmware than me, you need the 3 files SamyGO_data.zip, SamyGO-F-SM-MST-Fix-USB.zip and samyext4.img.F.zip.

I followed these instructions :

-Unpack SamyGO-F-SM-MST-Fix-USB to FAT USB
-Now you should have FAT USB with two folders: SamyGO-F-SM-MST-Fix and SamyGO_data
-Connect USB to TV
-Launch SamyGO-F-SM-MST-Fix from SmartHub (if it doesn't appear reboot TV). Sometimes it is necessary to connect USB WHILE TV IS OFF!!!
-The widget will automatically finish installation (No need to push any buttons).
-When it finishes it will ask to reboot TV.
-Reboot TV and wait 1-2 minutes.

After that, how use telnet, ftp ? How to check if root has succeeded ?

Telnet on your TV IP Port 23
FTP on your TV IP Port 21
